GORDON, Margaret Christina (nee Grant) - Formerly of Peterborough, Windsor and Essex, passed away peacefully on Thurs. Jan. 28, 2010 at the Kensington Village in London at 95 years of age. 

Wife of the late Henry Havelock Gordon (1999). Mother of Henry and his wife Patricia of London. Grandmother of Christina Gordon.

Cremation services have taken place.

PLUIMERS, Hermina Johanna (nee Nyhuis) (January 6, 1919-January 29, 2010).

Surrounded by family, our beloved Mom passed over peacefully on Friday to join her husband John (1995), her son John Jr. (2008) and her granddaughter Lori Ann (1975).

She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving children, Betty Pluimers (John Jr.), Dick Pluimers (Marilyn), George Pluimers (Carol), Jane VanOosterom (Rick), Hermina Ulmer (Ralph), Yetty Bondy (Jim), Allan Pluimers (Kathy), Dorothy Pluimers (youngest daughter, best friend and caregiver), her 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also joining her Dad (Jan) and Mom (Berendina), her brothers and sisters Henk (Engel), Herman (Marie), Jan Nyhuis, Riek Pijlgroms and Johanna Klein (Andy). She is survived by her sister Diny Krabbenbos, sister-in-law Miep Nyhuis and brother-in-law Karel Pijlgroms.

The family is deeply grateful to Mom’s Southgate family for their tender, loving care over the past five years, to Dr. Peter Kelton for his years of care and understanding and to the second floor nurses of Leamington District Memorial Hospital who made her last few days so comfortable.

A celebration of Mom’s life was held on Tues. Feb. 2 at the Church of the Epiphany Anglican Church in Kingsville. Rev. Bryan Girling officiated. Mom’s final resting place will be with our Dad at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in London. Arrangements entrusted to the C. Stuart Sykes Funeral Home, 91 Division St. S., Kingsville (519-733-4111).
